Chrome Extension (Remotto Sourcing)

Our Chrome extension collects publicly visible profile data (name, headline, experience, skills, and social links) from supported platforms such as LinkedIn, GitHub, and DEV.to when you actively source a candidate. This data is sent to the Remotto API over HTTPS and stored in your organization's private workspace. The extension also stores your authentication token and preferences locally in Chrome storage. It does not collect browsing history, keystrokes, or data from sites other than the supported platforms listed in its permissions.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide, maintain, and improve the Service, including AI-powered candidate matching and scoring
  • To personalize your experience and deliver content relevant to your interests
  • To communicate with you about updates, security alerts, and support messages
  • To detect, prevent, and address technical issues, fraud, or security vulnerabilities
  • To comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms of service
  • To train and improve our AI models using anonymized and aggregated data

4. Data Sharing and Third Parties

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We may share your data with trusted service providers who assist us in operating the Service, including:

  • OpenAI -- for AI-powered analysis, candidate extraction, and natural language processing
  • Supabase -- for secure database hosting and authentication services
  • Vercel -- for application hosting and content delivery
  • Analytics providers -- for understanding usage patterns and improving the Service

These providers are contractually obligated to protect your information and may only use it to perform services on our behalf.
